THE BACK TO SCHOOL ISSUE
EDITION #2
SEPTEMBER 2026
Editorial
First day and yet another meeting that could have been an email. Five minutes by the coffee machine turns into ten, then fifteen. Someone arrives, someone stays, someone has another one. And before you know it, poof! The morning is gone. Time flies when you have fun.
The coffee machine has a social life of its own.
You go for the coffee and stay for the chit-chat, the gossip, the catching up. For the work bestie who gets the full debrief, conveniently away from the colleague you somehow managed to avoid all summer.
One more story, one more question, one more reason to spill the tea. Caffeine, small talk, and possibly a little bit of a show — all served in the same cup.
Perhaps we've simply become very good at turning a pause into a ritual. It's not just coffee, it has become a whole culture. And like every cultural shift, it finds its way into everything else. Fashion. Beauty. Fragrance. It was only a matter of time before we started wearing it, too.
Too Cool for School
BAKERY RAVE POSTER (RECOLORED). RÜDI X 445 RUN CLUB X LSKD - @RUDI.NZ
Apparently, going out before noon is a thing now. These days, the coolest kids don't linger by the lockers — they linger at the counter. Coffee raves. Bakery parties. DJs before breakfast — on a random Tuesday. Run, refuel, rave. Flat white, playlist included. Your morning coffee now comes with a dance floor, and somehow, nobody has to recover the next day. Seen and being seen. The corner coffee shop has officially become everyone's favorite social playground. And honestly? We're not mad about it.
